For our Exact Online product development team in Delft we are looking for a

Software Engineer

Exact is one of Europe’s largest suppliers of business software. Our software development approach has made us a market leader with a strong international presence and users in over 125 countries. We develop using VB.NET, C#, JavaScript, VB6, C++ on the Microsoft .NET platform and operate an Agile software development methodology(SCRUM).

The Exact Online team develops an innovative online software service, which is the fastest growing online accounting, trade and professional services solution for SME’s and their accountants in the Benelux. As a Software Engineer at Exact Online you operate in a SCRUM development team. In short iterations of two weeks you help design, build and test new features in our Exact Online product. Most importantly you are a key member of your team with focus on improving the way it operates and how the software itself is developed and delivered.

• Design, code and test business software applications
• Program both new solutions and new functionality in existing solutions, based on business needs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot applications by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects.
• Investigate and solve software bugs in medium to complex business software applications.
• Take ownership for the quality of all assigned software targets and codes
• Perform code reviews for your peer developers.
• Inspire and share your experience with your colleagues.

• You have at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent level in computer science.
• You have at least three years' experience of software development in a relevant development environment.
• You have knowledge of basic business processes like financials and sales.
• You are an effective oral and written communicator in English.

• A competitive salary based on a 40 hour workweek and dependent on your level of education and working experience;
• A contract for a period of one year with the prospect of an indefinite contract;
• An annual 13th month’s salary, 22 vacation days and 4 non sick days
