1.       Department: IT

Information technology is crucial for Tele2's business. The IT department is responsible for all IT services within Tele2 Netherlands for both internal and external customers. Internally, the IT department has around 1000 users; externally IT has more than one million customers. The IT department has around 100 employees.

At Tele2, information technology is integrated in all processes. The IT department is responsible for a wide range of applications that support product development, customer relationship management, sales, call centre activities, order management, operational service delivery, billing and finance.

Four Change Teams design, develop and test these applications in close cooperation with the business users. After user acceptance, the Operations Teams keep the applications up and running and support the users.

IT is further responsible for Billing Operations, as well as for e-mail, hosting and security services directly for large corporate customers.

2.       Team: Change Team “Shared Applications”

The four Change Teams are closely aligned with their business unit: Consumer, Business/Wholesale, NO&E/Provisioning and Finance/Shared Applications. Business and IT together are adopting the Agile-Scrum way of working.

In the Change Team “Shared Applications” a scrum team of around 10 people delivers all changes in applications used by more than one of the business departments. This includes billing applications, knowledge management and middleware. The Change Team also works closely with the business departments Finance, Purchasing/Legal/ Processes and HR.

3.       Responsibilities of the Job

·         Together with your scrum team members you deliver changes to the Shared Applications for Tele2 NL

·         You ensure the changes are tested, mainly by our testing partner in India, by the scrum team itself, by the business Product Owners and Key Users and sometimes by other teams within the IT Department. Where necessary you will also perform testing yourself.

·         Together with our testing partner in India, you determine test strategy, test scope and prepare and review test cases

·         You support our testing partner in the automation of test cases and test data

·         You discuss solutions with the business Product Owners

·         You work closely with your team and jointly look for solutions, both on high architectural level and on lower levels

·         You act as sparring partner for the analysts and developers in your team

·         You determine and follow standards in our testing methodologies and technologies always pursuing quality and balancing this with cost consciousness.

Peers                         :    Agile team members both onsite and offsite

5.       Skills and requirements

Education

·         Academic (HBO) equivalent education, in information technology or a related area of expertise

·         Additional professional ISTQB training or likewise is an advantage

Experience

·         As tester or test coordinator in a multi-skilled team

·         System testing, end-to-end integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing

·         Managing an external (offshore) partner

·         Agile testing, distributed Agile and Scrum

·         Test tooling such as QTP

·         Set up and maintain test environments

·         PL/SQL and Oracle databases

·         Experience with mediation, billing, accounts receivable & treatment systems in a Telco environment is an advantage.
