As a Mechanical Product Engineer you will participate in the complete design process of a variety of products. You will work on the design and implementation of mechanics for electrical systems. This function will give you a variety of responsibilities such as writing specifications, discussions with customers, making 3D models, simulations of mechanical/thermal design and the qualification of prototypes. During this entire process you will need to keep the customers wishes in mind and have a constant focus on quality. Because Prodrive only works on customer demand, every project will be different and you can work for different markets. You will work on challenging, multi-disciplinary projects in a high-tech environment.

Skills and education
- Bachelor or higher education degree in Mechanical Engineering (HBO/WO);
- Familiar with a 3D CAD program, Siemens NX is preferred;
- Familiar with thermal and fluid dynamics
- Experience is certainly not required, a passion for technology certainly is.

Organization profile
Prodrive was founded in 1993 by technical professionals from the Eindhoven University of Technology. Since then every year has shown a steep growth rate due to a very successful business concept. Currently the total Prodrive organization consists of 360 employees (290 FTE), highly skilled and highly motivated and focused on results.

The organization is based on two main groups, Development and Operations. Development is responsible for the development of electronic, mechanical and software solutions. Development works mainly on a project basis. For each project a project team with the right skills and knowledge is composed. Operations takes care of the production, assembly, testing and life cycle management of electronic products and systems in a range of 1 to 50.000 per year. The Development and Operations groups are support by a Sales department and a small Organization Support Group.

Procedure
The application procedure consists of three interviews. The first interview is to test the attitude/personality and ambition of the candidate and match it with the organization culture and goals. This interview is conducted by one of the directors. The second interview focuses in more detail on the match between de candidate and the vacancy. This interview is conducted by the supervisor.
